About the Author: Raven Howell is an award-winning author and poet of over thirty children’s books. She’s a journalist for youth magazines and publications, and writes stories for world-wide educational publishers and programs. Frequently visiting schools and libraries, she enjoys sharing the joy of reading and literature with children of all ages. As a collaborating author for Reading is Fundamental (SoCal), she supports every child’s access to literature. Her spare moments between writing work involve unicorns, dragons, crystal kingdoms, and magical hikes along the mountainside. The Look Inside Book was written to inspire imagination, and to celebrate each and every one’s own particular moment for seeding, growing, and blossoming.

About the Illustrator: Anny Chen is a Taiwanese-American children’s illustrator living in Paris, France. She makes joyful, colorful illustrations that celebrate diverse characters and those sweet do-nothing moments of childhood. Having lived in Taiwan, the United States, and now France, she brings a multicultural perspective to her art. Beyond creating, she supports aspiring illustrators through mentoring and online resources, guiding them towards a sustainable creative practice. When she’s not at her desk, you’ll find her reading a book, walking in nature, hanging out with her family, and eating pasta.
