ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Andrea Skuta is a teacher and children’s book author from Southern Illinois. She has spent the last twenty years in education, working with students in first through eighth grades. Her love of reading and writing led her to this profession: in fact, she finds teaching young children to read the most rewarding part of being an educator. Throughout her teaching career, she realized the huge impact reading quality books has on people’s lives. She set about to create her own quality books. Her first picture book, Lightning Bug Lantern, was published in 2019, followed by her second book, Simon P. Catsby, in 2020. Sharing her writing with the world as a published author has been a lifelong dream come true. She looks forward to more adventures with Simon P. Catsby.
