Welcome to the little town of St. Cecilia where the easy life has its challenges and love has its hurdles.

CC lost her adventurous childhood companion and flamboyant teenage love John when he left their small town of St. Cecilia. But he’s never been far from her mind. Now in her middle-age, she has a placid life in the same small town, married to a dull and unemotional husband and raising a family.

But things are about to change. The little church across the street, which was always CC’s safe harbor, is in danger of closing. The outside world is in turmoil from a global pandemic and circumstances at home are thrown into chaos too when tragedy strikes.

On top of everything, John returns to St. Cecilia and his wife has a letter for CC that John has always wanted to give her for the past twenty years.

Skies Over Cecilia is the story of CC, an indomitable, faith-filled woman told with grace, wit, and playfulness by the narrator as her tale unfolds to him in layers.

Author Gary L. Meyer and his wife Janice reside in Milwaukee, close to children and grandchildren who live nearby. He is retired from the Law Enforcement profession. Gary enjoys fishing, hunting and hiking, particularly in the Northern Kettle Moraine area of Wisconsin. He is an inveterate philatelist and a player/manager in Senior Softball Leagues. This is his first novel.
