Author Amanda Stewart is a bilingual elementary school educator and someone who loves learning and all of her learners. From teaching her students to write in different genres to writing her first book, Amanda is grateful for the opportunity to share her stories and to empower others to share theirs! When she’s not at school teaching in English and in Spanish, you can find Amanda reading in both languages “for fun” or spending time with the “treasures” in her life–her family and friends.

Illustrator Monique Machut is a Milwaukee based illustrator and graphic designer and has been working on children’s books since 2019. She loves creating illustrations that both children and adults can enjoy. Including diversity and a heavy focus on inclusivity in Amanda’s book, Treasures/Los Tesoros, was an absolute joy for Monique, and she hopes she can work on additional empowering stories in the future.
