When a rainbow trout kite leaps into the sky, and glittering fish swim in the field, Sara discovers that sometimes the best adventures happen in the most unexpected places.

Author Laura Johnsrud is a retired reading specialist, jewelry artist and storyteller who believes every day holds a little magic. She lives in Clay Banks, Wisconsin, with her husband, three children, and their sweet, silly dog Gunner. Laura loves turning everyday moments into fun stories for kids, filled with imagination, kindness, and a dash of adventure.

Rise and Shine It’s Fishing Time was inspired by the tender bond between Grandpa Arnie and his grandchildren, capturing the magic of time spent together on his farm.
