Author Jacqueline Des Isles lives and plays in Wisconsin with her large German Shepherd who is never, ever afraid of mice. Together they enjoy exploring the many hiking trails near their home. A mother and grandmother, Jacqueline loves a good story, whether between the covers of a book or over coffee with a friend. How Big Is That Mouse? is her first children’s book.

Illustrator Geoffry Smalley lives and works in a green, tucked away corner of Portland, Oregon, with his wife, 12-year-old kid, a tiny dog that is just one click above a stuffed animal, and no little grey mice. After receiving his MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2002 and working as a gallery artist, muralist, painting and drawing teacher, and art conservator, he realized that making books for children is really what he wants to do when he grows up.
